11 Months

Today my baby girl turned 11 months.

ELEVEN MONTHS!

How did this happen? When did this happen? It seems like just yesterday I was waddling around the pool with Wesley counting down the days to her due date!

She's got SO much personality now. In a matter of weeks, and even DAYS she has grown and changed SO MUCH.

Here's some of the stuff she's up to-

SHE....
- Usually crawls at a pretty good pace, but man, when this girl sees something she wants, she TAKES OFF, and you can HEAR her little knees thudding against the floor as she speeds off to her destination.
- Says mama and dada. I'm pretty sure she knows what they mean (I think)
- Tries really hard to say paccy (that's what we call her pacifer)
- Can finally wave bye-bye. She takes her little hand and waves backwards, and mutters "buh-buh".
- Loves to take her hand and pull at her bottom lip fast and make a cute sound.
- Feeding herself and holding her bottle
- Is starting to use a sippy cup
- LOVES TO EAT!!!!!!

So, I have to admit, I am excited for her birthday. She's such a special little girl, and though I try to make her feel special and loved everyday - I am looking forward to decorating, her birthday dress, and making her the absolute center of attention on HeR day.

Anyway - Happy 11 Month Bday my little Cinderella! (We call her Cinderella because when I put shoes on her, she ALWAYS kicks one off!)

Finally.....

I can finally say it out loud (I still feel like I'm dreaming)... we are moving back WEST!!!!!!

I have missed my family. My mountains. My sparkling city lights from the edge of the valley. My DRY hot summers. My CRISP cool falls. My radio stations. My grocery stores (adios Kroger! Hello Albertsons!). I've missed my resturaunts (Baja Fresh, Del Taco, and Inn & Out! Yum!).

The list goes on and on and on and on.

Someone pinch me, I must be dreaming!

We are back from our vacation to Cocoa Beach Florida, and we had the most AMAZING time!

We got to stay at my best friend RoseAnn's grandmothers house. It was beautiful! She goes away every summer, so we had the house to ourselves! It was the perfect little "vacation house" for us!

Across the street from the house we were in, were RoseAnn's parents, and then next door to them is her aunt! We had such a great time seeing everyone. I grew up around all of them, and so seeing them, and seeing them with my children was very special to me.

Now for pictures:

I took this of Sophia in her swim suit before we left, we had to try it on, right? haha

We went to the beach and could not have picked a more beautiful day!

Sophia slept when we first got to the beach, but after she woke up, she had a lot of fun eating the sand. Yum yum!

My best friend of nearly SIXTEEN years and her AMAZING boyfriend Chris. Wesley LOVED them! He calls RoseAnn - Tia (spanish for Aunt) and he calls Chris, Uncle Chris. They were both so good to my kids!

Wesley loved the water. We had a lot of fun poking at the dead jelly fish! Well, everyone had fun but me... they would chase me with them in their hands and I would scream, I know - I'm such a girl!

Look at all that sand on her mouth!

Michael dug this DEEP hole.... and.... put Wesley in it!

Michael and Uncle Chris putting Wesley in the hole - Wesley loved it.

RoseAnn, Chris, Jan (we call her Tia too), and Troy

This is Mike and Jeri. They knew my parents before I was even thought of! They LOVED the kids, and the kids LOVED them. Wesley calls them Grandpa Mike and Grandma Jeri. Grandpa Mike was so sweet to Wesely and bought him some cool build-it-yourself stuff from Lowes (where he is a manager) and even got Wesley a cool Lowes apron! Grandma Jeri watched the kiddos for us when we went with RoseAnn and Chris to their band practice and dinner, and they kids had a lot of fun with her.
RoseAnn being silly... in sixteen years, she still has her goofy personality - I love it!

Chris lives right across from where they do the launches for NASA, so we got to watch the shuttle launch! It was amazing to see in person and feel/hear it take off!

RoseAnn giving me the, "Lillie, you're crazy", look.
With all the excitement of seeing the launch, we decided to go to Kennedy Space Center, and it was hot, but we had fun.

We got to go inside and see what the astronauts go through (tight living space).

Look at my little girl! She ALWAYS smiles for the camera!

RoseAnn singing at band practice. They are a GREAT band by the way (Dirty Chucks).

The kids and their Tia (our last night - saying our goodbyes).

Sixteen years and going strong - truly, best friends forever.
Last but not least - the last picture of the trip.

It was hard to say goodbye to everyone. It really hit me on our way out of town when we stopped at Walmart to get some water/snacks for the drive. I walked through the store holding back tears. RoseAnn and her family ARE my family too, and it is hard being so far away from them.
I have to get a bit mushy - seeing RoseAnn with my kids was unreal. We used to play Barbies, house, etc. together. We used to dream of the future - what we would be, where we would travel, and how the men in our lives would be.
I feel so blessed to have a best friend who loves me so much and my little family.

RoseAnn, I am so grateful for our friendship. You are an amazing person, friend, girlfriend, and now - Tia. Love you!!

My best friend RoseAnn is in a band (Dirty Chucks). She is the lead singer (I'm pretty sure she's lead, but I could be wrong).

Any who - I LOVE this picture of the band! She of course, is the female in the middle, and the guy in the black to her right with the sunglasses is her boyfriend Chris.

I'm so proud of her and can't wait to hear them play.
