Wesley singing at Michael's Christmas Party

Sophia makes her singing debut!

I am finally getting around to making our Christmas post!

We are all so bummed that the Christmas Season is over. We love every part of it... the lights, trees, candy canes, music, eggnog, decorations, and especially that way people seem to have more joy in them.

We are grateful that even though Christmas has come and gone, that we are able to celebrate and be grateful for The Savior, ALL YEAR!

Here are some pictures from our Christmas!

This is the entry way at the country club we went to for Michael's firms Christmas Party. They had lots of trees and they were all decked out like these. I LOVED them!

Wesley with his gun he got at the party.
The did karaoke, and Wesley surprised me and sang!
Of course when Sophia sang we weren't surprised as she LOVES to sing! One time I took her to the pulpit with me at church when I went up to bare my testimony and she took the microphone from me and started singing to everyone. This girl is destined for stardom!

Before bed we got some picture of Joe with the kids.

Looks like Santa came!

Stockings! (Mine was near the tree)
I am pretty sure visions of sugar plums were dancing in his head...

Merry Christmas everyone!

Today was the big day - Sophia's Operation!

In the car and ready to go at 6:30am. She wasn't fully awake, as you can see... she is in a daze.
In the pre-op waiting area. She's all smiles :-)
Here is the hole that has been causing so much trouble. It's kind of hard to see, but if you click on the picture it will become larger.
Still all smiles.. she obviously didn't know what was about to happen.
Getting her cute surgery cap on... and putting on mommy's chap stick. She wanted to look pretty!
Still smiling....
This is the mask they used for her anesthesia... they let her play with it before they put her under so she wouldn't be too frightened when they hooked it up to the machine. They also scented it for her... she picked Cherry.. and grape.. AND orange! That's my girl!
After surgery. Click to see in greater detail.
Laying in mommy's bed watching Mickey Mouse
Look at that smile!
Surgery went well. We now have to wait for about 2-3 weeks to make sure it worked. The doctor feels confident that this surgery did it!

She isn't feeling very well. She isn't moving much at all, as when she does, it hurts her a great deal, and she begins to cry. I am sure she will be up and moving around tomorrow evening. As for now, she is content staying in my bed cuddled up with me and I am completely happy with that as well.

I want to thank everyone who offered prayers on behalf of my sweet little daughter. Your love and support has carried us through this difficult time in our lives.

We owe the biggest thank you to our Heavenly Father, for watching over her, protecting her, and holding our hands through this great trial.

Here are the after pictures from her curlers (excuse the white around her mouth - powdered donuts)!

Saturday, December 11, 2010

Wow, is it really the middle of December already!? Yes, it is! Time flies when you're having fun!

We have been enjoying this Christmas Season SO much. Decorating the tree together, drinking eggnog, watching Christmas Movies, driving around looking at all of the beautiful lights, and of course, listening to Christmas Music.

The kids are well. Sophia is set for surgery next week. We are *almost* there, and I am hopeful that she will stay healthy so we don't have to cancel again. Once this operation is complete, we can move forward and most of all, Sophia can live a normal and HEALTHY life!

Here are some pictures... and guess what... they are NOT in order! Oh well!

I put her hair in curlers tonight (she calls them curly's). She was giggling when I put her to bed... as she is so excited about her "curly's"
Just eating a snack and smiling for the camera before bed
We did pedicures together tonight. She helped a lot with both of our feet. Having a daughter is so much fun. I get to do everything girly with my best friend!
Hm.. not too sure about the curlers at first.
Okay, I LOVE this picture! She is in her snow pants and hat.. and she looks like she is a little pink garbage man! haha!
My best buddy. He doesn't like having his picture taken, so I am considering myself lucky to have gotten a smile for this one! Wesley is an amazing little boy. He got his FIRST report card and got perfect scores on all of his academics! I am also happy (and laughing) to report that Wesley has two loose front teeth. Yes, you read that correctly! It's almost Christmas, and he *might* lose BOTH of his front teeth. Hm... I wonder what song comes to mind.... All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth!
Minnie and Mickey go every where with Sophia

I just need to say this - I am blessed, and I am grateful for that. I love my husband and my children more than I knew was possible. My love for them consumes me, and in a beautiful way.

I thank God for all I have.
