Easter

What a BEAUTIFUL Easter Day! Today was the first day in a while we had SuNsHiNe and warmer temps... ALL DAY! We couldn't have made a better Easter Day if we tried!

As always, you can click on the pictures to enlarge them :-)

Wesley all decked out and ready for church
This kid is a natural!
Our Princess in her Easter Dress from Oma!
Looks like she's got some modeling skills as well, she did this pose on her own!
After many, many, MANY pictures.. this was the best one I took with both kiddos. Wesley was laughing because I was trying to get Sophia to smile. I told Sophia to "look at my big booger"! Wesley started cracking up and in turn Sophia laughed. I guess it worked out ;-)
The night before Easter
Yes, he is in fact, in his underwear. Why? My children are messy and I didn't want them to ruin any clothes while coloring Easter Eggs!
Sophia in her diaper.. ready to color some eggs (I let Michael slide this time, and didn't make him color eggs in his underwear)!
Before

Joe wanted to color eggs as well.
After!

Oh goodness! The Easter Bunny went overboard this year (thanks to help from some VERY generous grandparents in Pioche and KY)! I think Michael and I, as well as Joe may have contributed to the Easter Bunny spoiling the kids ;-)

Pretty Easter Egg Lights

EASTER MORNING

Sophia's basket(s). She has a round one, then a matching rectangle one in back.. Wesley has the same set, in blue.
Wesley got some pretty cool stuff this year. A new Lego Castle, How to Train Your Dragon Movie, new book, and or course, How to Train Your Dragon playset! Oh, and of course.... CaNdY!!

Waking up on Easter Morning. She wasn't ready to get up, but we convinced her to check out the table to see what the Easter Bunny brought.

She was happy, to say the least! She got a big My Little Pony Baby Belle with a bottle to feed (she talks too), toy washing machine, My Little Pony Fluttershy, and a Strawberry Shortcake remote control car, not too mention lots of candy! Earlier this month Oma in KY sent her an Easter Dress, a really cute Easter Cup, CANDY CANDY CANDY and a My Little Pony!
He sure was excited he couldn't even look at the camera, he was too busy checking out all of the candy on the table.
Hunting for eggs... hm.... can you spot the egg in this picture?
Done with baskets and egg hunting.. time to............. EAT CANDY!
Easter Afternoon & Evening

After church we went home to change, then hopped into the car and headed down to Fargo to spend Easter with one of my best friends, Kat, her hubby, and her parents AKA my North Dakota Mom and Dad. Oh, and who can forget Homer (who we didn't see), Hercules, Murphy, Medora (she kept herself in a good amount of trouble trying to steal food from the table), Beau (AKA Sophia's body Gaurd) and the ever so sweet Daisy. If you are wondering these are Kat's pets :-)

Onto pictures...

Joe fell asleep in the car on the way to Fargo. I guess he was tired?

My North Dakota Family!
From right to left, Sophia (you know her!) Robert, Kat (best friend & sister), Mom K., Dad K., and of course, Michael and Wesley. Oh how I love these people!

Sophia was playing with Medora this evening. Normally Medora doesn't have much to do with the kids, but today she let Sophia sing to her and play a bit. It was adorable! Sophia was kind of hanging herself half way off a chair with her head towards the floor, just singing her heart out and Medora did the same on her cat post, and just dangled her little paws and let Sophia sing and play.

Today was not all about new toys, candy, and bunnies.. it was about Jesus Christ. We had such a wonderful talk with Wesley about Jesus Christ and what today meant for us as Christians. We all opened our hearts and spoke of our love to The Savior and our gratitude that because of his sacrifice, we can be together forever as a family.

SO.. yes, we had a fun and busy Easter... and I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!

We went to the river to have a picnic with the kids and we took Joe with us. It was a lot of fun, especially to see the river flooded... we have never seen anything like it! The amazing thing is that these pictures are not showing the river at it's crest!

My four BFF'S

Over the years I have been SO blessed to meet some special ladies, and become best friends with them. These women have been so good to me. They listen to me when I need to talk, they NEVER put me down or judge me. They make me laugh, and I truly love each one like a sister. I just wanted to make a special post about them, and let them know they are more than friends, they are my sisters! I am posting their pictures in the order of who I met first.

RoseAnn. We have been best friends for 17 years. She and I have been through so much together, and after 17 years, we can pick up the phone after not talking for awhile and EVERYTHING is still the same. Her Family have always loved me and treated me well, and now in October, she will be getting married and I will have a new brother. I love her more than words can say.

Kat, my dear, DEAR, Kat. I have been friends with her for almost 9 years now. She is so kind to me. Being with her makes me feel like I am not only with one of my best friends, but in the presence of family. I lover her dearly, including her hubby Rob, her mom and dad, who I have adopted as my North Dakota Mom and Dad, and OF COURSE all of her furry babies! Love you, Kat!

Janet and I have been friends since he end of 2006. Her husband and Michael servied a mission together in Las Vegas. Janet and I started talking together through emails and have been BFF's ever since. She is so kind and gentle, and one of the best examples of a mother to me. I so blessed to have her in my life. Love you, J.

Yaluen! How do I even begin to describe my friendship with you? We have been friends for 2 1/2 years now. She kept calling me and calling me until I finally opened up and let her in. Ever since that day she has been such a joy to me. She always makes me smile, and when I think of her, my heart if full and I miss her so much. Yalu, you have been there through so much with me. I love you, and I want you to know I think of you EVERY day, and that no one will EVER be able to replace you in my life. You helped me keep it together through one of the most difficult times in my life. When certain people wouldn't help me when I needed it, you were there to take Wesley while Sophia was in the hospital. Oh, Yellow One, I miss you.

So yes, these women have blessed my life in ways I can't describe. They have all helped me to grow as a person, learn from their amazing examples, and most of all, they make me happy. They are truly like sisters to me, and I adore each of them.

I have such unique relationships with all of you, but I can truly say, you are ALL my BFF's!

Love you, RoseAnn, Kat, Janet, and Yaluen!
