That's MY boy!

Wesley's finished with the school year (yay)!

His report card was straight A's and he received 3 academic awards.

He got 100% on EVER SINGLE spelling test the entire 2011/2012 school year (first grade).

Since his first report card in kindergarten, he has had ALL A's on EVERY report card.

I couldn't be more proud of him. He was blessed with the talent of being able to learn, and even more importantly, to love learning.

Wesley, congrats on being the smartest little boy I know! You own my heart!

One persons trash....

.... is another persons treasure!

Michael was so sweet to drive one hour round trip to pick up this UGLY dresser. It was $25 on Craigslist. I saw it, and saw potential.

Before -

Rusted handles...

Cute design, not cute colors...

All done!

These handles were horrible - so I took them off, painted them with a metallic hammered brown paint... (fake hammered look - love it!)

Check out that detailing!

New clock I got today on clearance for super cheap :-) The candle is from my good friend Nicki... it ties in perfectly with our room decor!

I bought this beauty today as well. It was on clearance... $6.77! It was a rusted copper color, and I didn't like it, so I painted it with the same paint that I used for the handles on the dresser.

This picture frame is old... I think about 25 years old... I painted it with the same paint as the handles and the rod iron decor above the bed. Then I used scrapbook paper to frame the picture. The picture... is... a place mat from the dollar tree! Yep... Cost me a buck, and it looks beautiful!

I LOVE how our room turned out. It's so relaxing, tranquil, and peaceful. The colors are so refreshing. I don't think I will be able to sleep tonight, I will be looking at the room!

Oh how I love Craigslist, Lowes (supplies), and creativity!

The dogs...

I appreciate and am so grateful for times like this evening... the weather was beautiful, the kids were playing well together, and I got to sit, relax, and enjoy it :-)

She loves having a backyard and her own swing set!

Silly girl!

Jem - she will be 10 weeks old on Sunday!

Rue, he will be 12 in September... I love this dog!

Joe, smokin' a stogey, I had to take this picture - he reminds me of a mobster here.

When I was a little girl we had HUGE trees like this in our back yard, I cherish having my very own now!

I love this little girl - God knew what he was doing when he sent her to me!

The happiness is her eyes is contagious.

Wesley started the baseball season this week, it's so much fun to watch him!

He had a GREAT hit here!

Today was the first dress rehearsal for Sophia's ballet recital that will be this weekend. I was so worried about her hair and how I would do it, but  I LOVE how it turned out, and I think hers looked the best out of everyone!

I pulled it into a very tight pony tail and curled the pony tail. Then I pinned some of the curls on the top of her head and let the rest of the curls stay down on the back. Then I added her flower hair piece that goes with her costume.

I'm so proud of my baby girl!

She's the prettiest little girl in the world.
